Product Manual
Bought the first one 8 months ago - give or take. It just stopped working. Came right back on - might run hours, days or weeks before failing again cod 01000 internal inverter failure. Asked for a warranty replacement - well within the year warranty - said something about over 90 days (??)and hit me for the return shipping of $70 plus$40 for a cab as I was in my RV and only had a motorcycle with me. I objected and email said they would refund the shipping. Never did. Replacement failed the same way, same code, after 2 days. Said they would refund my money. I limped along with this unit that I had to babysit ..ran for 3 weeks then failed 4x in one day. Meanwhile shopping for something that would fit my compartment - 20" max depth - saw another identical LOOKING unit from Expert Power with a larger charge output so ordered that one. Some annoying things - for one, there was zero change in the model number - how to tell them apart for parts? It was 3/4" narrower so, had holes to fill. Switch + 4 LED panel was hard wired, so I had to find a barrel to connect the existing cable (took hours to find a route in this older RV) to "outsmart" the mfg. The a/c in and out on the back were reversed! Dangerous on an "upgrade" installation. Got it up and running, called Eric in tech and he said there was a panel repeating the data on the unit, which mounted in a cavity was not readable - said it was $40, gave him my credit card, and several minutes later I got a call from an angry sounding manager (no name) who said "We don't want you as a customer. I'm sending a shipping label to return the new unit to us." I hung up on him. What would motivate me, a 77 year old man, to uninstall, pack and ship back this unit that hopefully won't show that 010000 code? I presume he nixed the remote panel which I still would like to have, but I can't order it because it has the same model number. AND annoying that the panel from the first set which displays valuable information vs a switch and 4 LEDs is not compatible with this newer unit. More wiring, carpentry for me. I don't know what that "manager's" name is, nor what position he holds, but my God - two defective units with a known deficiency, each one requiring hours of installation because the a/c wiring is on the back and has to be connected before I could put it in the cavity - this required building a stable platform to rest it on with the back right corner sitting on the shelf. 3 different times in 2 different locations so savaging was required. All of this because I objected to paying to return a defective unit under warranty? What would you do? While speaking to Eric I told him I have a friend on LI, NY who can probably figure out what the fault is and a remedy. Joe is a genius. So I was mad about paying return shipping (and I did all the labor - think what it would have cost to hire someone to do this 3 times?) the promise to refund it never came. I am hoping this unit doesn't code out - the compartment is 20" deep so no other units I found would fit. But after installing it, compensating for the unnecessary changes, what would be my incentive to return it? And why was he so quick to issue a return label for this installed currently working unit, but balked at paying shipping for the defective one? This man, unless of course that's who's reading this, should be taught a little about integrity and customer service.
The 3000 W inverter is powering both the refrigerator and freezer. The cooling fan is quiet offering little noise. I'm using it with 4 Extreme Power LiFePO4 200 Ah since a discount was offered to purchase a battery along with the 3000W Inverter.
It does exactly what it says. It's damn heavy, I'll say that.
It works great!!!
So far so good, only have used it for a week. It draws 9 amps on idle, nothing connected to it. Be aware.
